Christmas Host Sessional

We are recruiting for Seasonal Christmas Experience Host’s to work at Walthamstow Wetlands and Woodberry Wetlands. It’s a very exciting role working alongside our Santa at one of London’s most important nature reserves.

If you have a passion for storytelling, performance and audience facing roles, please get in touch, no prior experience necessary, just confidence, a friendly manner and enthusiasm!

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensuring that visitors to the Storytelling with Santa have a magical time
  • Welcoming and interacting with the visitors whilst also helping with the flow of visitors
  • Checking tickets and managing queues
  • Have the grotto ready for each session
  • Managing Santa’s photo opportunity queue

Applicants need to commit to a minimum of 5 dates.

Dates: December 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December 2022

Timings: 9.30am to 3.30pm (Christmas Eve 9.30am to 2.30pm)

Location 1:
Woodberry Wetlands, New River Path, Woodberry Grove, Woodberry Down, London N16 5HQ Please note this venue will be predominately outdoor work

Location 2: Walthamstow Wetlands, 2 Forest Rd, London N17 9NH

Dress code: A festive costume will be provided

Terms of Engagement:

Tenure: Fixed term casual engagement from 3rd – 24th December

Hourly rate £10.50 per hour

Hours of work: A variety of shifts will be on offer with no obligation to accept

Holidays: Accrued at a rate of 12.07% of hours worked
