Sessional Education Worker x 2

Various including Rutland Water Nature Reserve, Schools and Green Spaces, across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland

Are you an inspiring educator who is passionate about making a difference for local wildlife and people? We are looking to appoint two Sessional Education Workers to deliver our exciting new Education Programme to children aged 2 – 12 years old.

This is an exciting time to be joining LRWT as we look to grow and engage with new audiences. Reporting to the Education Team, you will deliver science-based Education Visit activities at Rutland Water Nature Reserve and Outreach Visit workshops in schools. You will be working with volunteers to deliver the workshops and activities. You will promote the work of the Trust through speaking to teachers, parents and the pupils.

We are looking for:

• An experienced educator – you have excellent communication skills and can lead groups of children in activities in an outdoor environment.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management skills – you have experience in managing groups and taking initiative when required.
• An enthusiastic individual - able to inspire and engage children about nature and wildlife.
• A passion for wildlife - a interest in working for a nature conservation charity whose mission is to protect wildlife and create a wilder future for people and nature across Leicestershire and Rutland
