We’re looking for an experienced Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader to lead fortnightly Forest School sessions with 4 – 12 year olds.

We’re looking for an experienced Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader to lead fortnightly Forest School sessions with 4 – 12 year olds.

Main responsibilities

Planning, designing and running age-appropriate sessions for home-educated children.

Key duties / tasks

  • Communicating with parents and keeping an accurate register of attendees
  • Planning, preparing for and delivering the sessions
  • Adhering to Trust day sheets, risk assessments, method statements and an emergency plan
  • Photo documenting the sessions
  • Evaluating the programme
  • Carrying out any associated administration
  • Assisting with press and publicity work, if necessary

Length of contract

A minimum of 4 months, fortnightly on Fridays on a freelance basis.

Location

Forest school sessions take place at our Nature Reserve located in Oadby.

Rate of pay

Work will be paid for at a rate of £180/full day. This will include any preparation, planning, fuel and travel time expenses associated with the role.
