Durham Wildlife Trust is the leading conservation charity between the Tees to the Tyne. We have an ambitious growth strategy to enable us to respond with increasing urgency to the ecological and climate emergencies.

We are looking for an individual with a track record of delivering income growth through their own work and by inspiring the team around them. That person needs to have highly developed commercial skills coupled with the ability to create effective strategies and the people skills to work with, and inspire, colleagues, partners and supporters to deliver those strategies.

Effective communication is vital as Durham Wildlife Trust continues to reach new audiences and seeks to create mass participation in nature’s recovery. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the capabilities needed to help the charity achieve a major step change in engagement.

As an organisation we are open to new thinking and ideas and would welcome applications from people with experience from any sector. The important thing is to have the skills, ideas and knowledge the Trust needs. If you want to make a real difference for both people and wildlife and can demonstrate effective leadership and successful innovation in fundraising and communications we'd love to hear from you.
