Would you like to work for one of the country’s leading environmental charities that is at the forefront of tackling the effects of climate change and the biodiversity crisis as part of ensuring a sustainable future for wildlife and people? For 60 years an innovative and pioneering organisation, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, the only organisation devoted to conservation in the county, is at the forefront of driving nature’s recovery and has played a leading role in 15% of the county now being managed for nature. This is your opportunity to join a talented, experienced and committed team to help manage 42 amazing nature reserves covering the full range of the county’s habitat types and work closely with farmers and others towards our ambitious target of 30% of the county managed for nature by 2030. A leader in conservation engagement, the Trust also improves lives by bringing the learning, health and wellbeing benefits of nature to many people.

Critical to achieving Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s aims to support nature’s recovery, help people connect with nature and live more sustainably, this is an exciting new post created to increase our fundraising to help meet the charity’s ambitious growth plans. The role offers the opportunity to manage major supporter relationships, increasing their support and develop new relationships that lead to major support. By raising large restricted and unrestricted amounts you will play a key role in enabling growth in all that the Trust does for wildlife and people across Wiltshire and beyond. The role holder will also have the reward of inspiring people and organisations to take their own action for conservation, sustainability and the benefit of communities.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser with a demonstrable interest in the environment. An ability to devise and implement fundraising plans and steward supporter journeys is essential. The appointee will have fundraising and stewarding experience in some or all of major donors, legacies, in memoriam and corporates. The successful candidate will be innovative, creative, confident, able to seize the initiative and work calmly under pressure to manage multiple deadlines. We are looking for a strong and diplomatic communicator who can inspire supporters at all levels by creating and delivering compelling cases and asks for supporting all our work tailored to individual interests and needs. The appointee will be a good relationship builder.
