In this role you will engage with landowners to implement practical ecological, access and heritage enhancements within the Dunsmore Living Landscape area, which stretches from the outskirts of Coventry and Leamington Spa over to the ancient Fosse Way.

You will work with a friendly and supportive team to deliver the Trust’s 2030 strategic objectives of making more space for nature, with more people on nature’s side.

Are you the candidate we’re looking for?

If so, you'll have knowledge of different habitats and experience of managing them. Most importantly, you'll have great communication skills and be able to work with everyone from landowners to volunteers to help wildlife thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise and implement a range of practical ecological, access and heritage enhancements within the Dunsmore Living Landscape area.
  • Organise and implement targeted surveys of habitats including woodland, grassland, hedgerows and ponds across the area.
  • Oversee the implementation of specialist surveys for key species (e.g. dormice) and habitats in conjunction with specialist groups, volunteers and consultants where appropriate.
  • Organise and deliver a programme of volunteer practical tasks as part of project delivery.
  • Work with local communities as part of our Team Wilder approach supporting the delivery of the Dunsmore Living Landscape work.
  • Report project progress to Dunsmore Living Landscape Manager, delivery partners and funders as required.
  • Promote the work, mission and vision of the Trust at all times.
