Are you someone with a passion for wildlife who is interested in achieving meaningful conservation and biodiversity gains for developments and infrastructure projects?

The post holder will work closely with the Principal Ecologist to develop and expand our ecology consultancy practice through ecological surveys and producing reports for a variety of commercial clients, including utility companies, developers, and local authorities.

The successful application must have equivalent experience or hold a relevant degree qualification, have prior experience in ecological consultancy or related work together with experience of development planning and its application in respect of ecological and biodiversity matters. It is essential that the post holder has knowledge of current and emerging legislation and policy in respect to ecological and biodiversity issues and fieldwork skills with experience of a range of fauna and flora survey methods.

Essex Ecology is the ecological consultancy of Essex Wildlife Trust, providing professional ecological services for developers, utility companies and landowners throughout Essex and neighbouring counties.

We are offering a new full-time permanent position for an Ecologist to join our team of consultant ecologists. The role would suit a highly motivated individual wishing to further their career in ecological consultancy.
