As Communications Assistant, you will work as part of the Communications team and wider Engagement directorate. We are looking for someone who is confident in communicating on a wide range of channels, increasing the reach of the Trust and encouraging new wildlife supporters at this crucial time for the environment.

This role will involve producing content for a wide range of platforms; including social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube & TikTok), blogs, email, magazine articles, press releases and producing video and podcast content. You will help turn conservation projects into compelling stories and increase awareness of Essex Wildlife Trust’s work.

The post holder will bring creative ideas to the workplace, working closely with the Communications Officer to cultivate our online community and with the Trust’s wider Communications team, including campaigns, marketing and the design team, to grow the Trust’s supporter base and give a greater voice for wildlife in Essex.

We are looking for someone confident in communicating for a wide range of channels, who is passionate and motivated to work for a conservation charity. The role would suit a candidate with experience in digital and social communications, although there is the opportunity to progress and develop your skills in a wide range of areas. Our values are Inspiring, Collaborative, United and Professional.

The position is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm) with a starting salary of £22,062.00 per annum.
