The Wildlife Trusts
Bristol, United Kingdom
We are looking for people with excellent teaching and learning skills, experience leading environmental education activities for primary aged students and a good general knowledge of local wildlife and habitats.
The amount of work we can offer depends on demand and will vary across the year. We expect to be able to offer an average of one or two days a week to the right candidate in our busy season, with ad hoc work available in quieter months.
Avon Wildlife Trust is a charity dedicated to working with local people for local wildlife, covering the West of England region (former county of Avon). It is supported by more than 17,500 members, manages over 30 nature reserves and is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts in the UK. We want to see nature restored on a grand scale across the Avon region, with one in four people taking action for wildlife.
The Wildlife Trusts value diversity. We are committed to creating a movement that recognises and truly values individual differences and identities. We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and cultures.
Pay: £12.50 per hour. You will need to have a current 1st aid certificate (including outdoor first aid) and be willing to undergo a DBS check. You will also need your own transport as Folly Farm is challenging to access without a vehicle.
For an informal discussion about this role please contact Lucy Hellier, Learning Manager. Lucy.hellier@avonwildlifetrust.org.uk, 07458 091424.
