We are looking for a competent Assistant Ecologist to join our team, who has experience of ecology survey and is keen to develop their career in commercial consultancy.

Future Nature is the wholly-owned Ecological Consultancy of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT), and a member of the Wildlife Trust Consultancies (WTC) Association. Future Nature provides a comprehensive range of professional services to clients across the three counties, as well as Nationally with its WTC partners. All profits generated by the Consultancy are reinvested back into the Trust, to help fund the charity’s invaluable work to put Nature back into recovery.

The successful candidate will contribute to the securing and delivery of a wide range of projects, developing skills in ecological survey, habitat assessment and report production along the way. Future Nature’s mission is to provide exceptional service for our customers, always with the best possible outcome for Nature as our primary objective.

As a key member of the Ecology team, you will play a supporting role for the co-ordination and safe delivery of projects, on time and on budget, working with partners and sub-contractors where required. You will join in field survey work, desk-based research and producing the reports and assessments that are our end-product, helping clients to make evidence-based decisions that protect and enhance our wildlife.

Salary: £18,000 - £22,836 per annum

Contract: Permanent. Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Based: Meadow Farm, Blackthorn, OX25 1TW & home working and/or other BBOWT offices.
