More about this role

This role will include Nature Reserves management and development, development of Nature Recovery Networks in policy and practice, and Species Conservation programmes - all contributing to natural solutions for climate change.

The Head of Nature Recovery will lead a dynamic team of staff and volunteers as well as maintaining our partnership working. The post holder will help and support staff to deliver important projects that will contribute to nature’s recovery and offer natural solutions for climate change. This role will involve developing ideas to align with funding opportunities for projects that support our strategic objectives and contribute to Ulster Wildlife’s Strategy to 2030 – ‘Bring Nature Back’.

The successful candidate will already have proven experience in developing and implementing organisational plans and policies. They will be able to negotiate at the highest level and have an understanding of and a passion for nature conservation, be an adept project manager, ideally with specialist skills/training in project management.
