Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Oak View, CA. Solar Installers are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar systems, including panels, inverters, and batteries. Daily tasks involve working with hand and power tools, following installation guidelines, ensuring system functionality, and collaborating with a small, dedicated team to complete projects efficiently and safely.

Tasks and Duties

  • Install solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other necessary equipment at various locations and environments.
  • Carry out maintenance and repair work as required.
  • Ensure electrical wiring is correctly in place and adheres to all safety and technical standards.
  • Diagnose and fix any issues related to solar system performance.
  • Keep current with emerging technology and techniques in solar installation.
  • Supervise and mentor installation team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work trucks and trailers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in solar and energy storage installation.
  • Ability to understand plan sets and execute installations accordingly.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and safety standards.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools.
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in varying weather conditions and at heights.
  • Valid driver’s license and a vehicle in good working condition.

Education and Certification Requirements

Compensation

Starting pay: $40-$50/hour, based on experience and training
