The PM oversees solar energy projects from start to finish, managing budgets, timelines, teams (engineers, contractors, suppliers), site assessments, permits, and ensuring quality and safety compliance. Key duties include project planning, risk assessment, resource allocation, stakeholder communication, budget tracking, schedule management, regulatory compliance, quality control, reporting, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Define scope, goals, deliverables, create detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for clients, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Site & Permitting: Manage site selection, assessments, due diligence, and navigate complex permitting processes.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Develop, monitor, and control project finances and timelines, taking corrective action as needed.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, coordinate activities, and ensure effective collaboration.
- Risk & Quality: Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, implement quality assurance, and ensure safety compliance.
- Reporting: Provide regular progress updates and reports to management and clients.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management, ideally with solar energy systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Technical understanding of solar technology and construction.
- Ability to manage complex projects and resolve issues.
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and permitting.
