Loyal Donor Officer

What We Can Achieve Together:

The Loyal Donor Officer is responsible for the stewardship, qualification, cultivation and solicitation of deferred and charitable gift annuities from prospects and donors through phone, written and face-to-face meetings. They understand the basics of planned gifts, general fundraising practices, factors that influence donors, and the types of assets that may be used for the donor’s giving and they apply that knowledge to interactions with donors and gift solicitations. They discuss assets proficiently and listen for opportunities for gifts of assets. They involve and engage appropriate partners in the field and staff within Global Development; they recommend prospects and donors for further cultivation and stewardship with other fundraisers as necessary. They manage donor and business unit outreach in partnership with Regional Gift Strategists and Gift Planning Officers in their regional team and work with the Philanthropic Planning Advisor team as needed. They will be required to use TNC’s donor database for tracking donor conversations and metrics.

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination.

• Experience building relationships with donors, volunteers, clients, foundations, vendors, and/or staff.

• Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors in CRM system.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably in a large non-profit.

• Experience working with fundraising principles and practices.

• Experience with the basics of charitable gift planning.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with qualifying donors.

• Valid driver’s license.

This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program . Employees may not drive Conservancy-owned/leased vehicles, rental cars, or personal vehicles on behalf of the Conservancy if considered "high risk drivers." Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record.

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $76,500 – $111,400 . This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
