WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER


The Richmond Office Program Coordinator will provide a full range of administrative support to the staff of The Nature Conservancy’s Richmond, Virginia Office. They will implement the relocation of the Richmond Office and will perform various administrative tasks, including some or all the following: sorting and distributing mail, answering phones, organizing, and maintaining files, purchasing, maintaining equipment, and working with vendors. Financial responsibilities include processing office expenses, check requests, and monitoring the Richmond office budget. They will schedule and coordinate logistics of meetings and may assist with the coordination of special events. The Coordinator may communicate on behalf of the supervisor with internal and external sources, including staff, partners, government officials and donors. They may handle inquiries about program activities and assist in the development of program materials and correspondence. They will provide other staff with information they need to make decisions and solve problems. The Richmond Program Coordinator will serve as the office Key User (a liaison between the program office and the Worldwide Office Technology and Information Systems (TIS) Department). Responsibilities include maintaining critical TIS functions such as network data backup, serving as first-response for technical issues, working with TIS staff to implement new products and software, and system inventory tracking. They will have frequent interaction with staff throughout the program and in other Conservancy offices, and with vendors. The work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING


  • Associates Degree plus 1-year experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
  • Experience providing administrative support, including some or all the following; phones/customer service, mail distribution, equipment maintenance, coordinating travel arrangements and meetings, or organizing files.
  • Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.
  • Experience writing, editing, and proofreading written materials.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION


25 hrs/week
Salary range: $22.00 - $24.00/hour, full benefits

Employees may not drive Conservancy-owned/leased vehicles, rental cars, or personal vehicles on behalf of the Conservancy if considered "high risk drivers."
