Senior Advisor (Renewable Energy)
What We Can Achieve Together:
The world needs to cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050 to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. The Nature Conservancy’s global Climate Change team is advancing three strategies to help achieve these urgent climate goals: (1) accelerating the transition to clean energy; (2) catalysing natural climate solutions to sustainably manage, restore, and protect forests and other ecosystems; and (3) deploying nature-based defenses to build resilience to the unavoidable impacts of climate change.
The Global Climate Change team is recruiting a Senior Advisor, Renewable Energy to work on the Global Renewable Energy team—an interdisciplinary team focused on accelerating the clean energy transition to support climate, conservation, and community goals. The Senior Advisor serves as a strategic advisor, leading and supporting initiatives for global and regional teams (primarily in North America, Europe, and India). They bring knowledge and experience of the renewable energy development process and community engagement, and work with project teams to develop strategies and implement initiatives that support TNC’s goals to accelerate a clean, green, and equitable energy future. They play a key role in engaging partners and organizations working on climate and clean energy, including international institutions, governments, companies, NGOs, and others, to build relationships and collaborations. The Senior Advisor may advise on policies and best practices, support community and corporate engagement, conduct analyses relevant to strategies, and support our knowledge base and communities of practice. They communicate TNC’s clean energy transition strategies and initiatives and support efforts to raise funding for priorities.
