WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER
The Data Quality Lead brings together cross-functional stakeholders to make the best decisions for TNC’s data, with an emphasis on improving data quality. The individual in this role, within the Data Governance team, partners closely with business management, IT teams, and end users to improve core data for daily operations and in support of strategic programs.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU
The Data Quality Lead plays a critical role in maximizing the trustworthiness and utility of TNC’s data by facilitating data governance and quality teams, and by creating data standards and quality metrics for several core data domains. The Data Quality Lead must have a deep curiosity for exploring how data is used across the organization, and is committed to improve data quality and standardization to support operational efficiencies and complex planning.
The Data Quality Lead requires broad business acumen, comfort with technical concepts, and a strong data management skill set. This role will:
- Communicate the data governance and quality mission, operating model, and the value of managing data as a strategic asset for TNC.
- Lead the formation of data domain teams to make organization-wide agreements about data.
- Facilitate a consistent and transparent governing process with data domain teams, and publish and maintain data agreements and approvals.
- Draft and gain approval for clear, accurate, and concise data standards that capture business rules, quality, and protection requirements for the data.
- Identify metrics to assess and monitor data quality against data standards.
- Coordinate data quality and cleansing efforts with business and IT teams address data quality priorities and align data to standards.
- Identify data quality reporting requirements and collaborate to implement data quality reports.
- Conduct data discovery to identify and capture the data asset lifecycle across systems.
- Provide data governance and quality education and training on core data concepts, practices, standards, and guidelines.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Library and Information Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of experience in data management, including 6 years of recent relevant experience such as data architecture, data quality, aligning business processes with data, metrics and reporting, data-related issue management and remediation efforts, data mapping, and/or developing data standards or policies.
- Experience facilitating and/or participating on cross-functional teams, including influencing without authority across the organization and within complex contexts.
- Experience managing projects and timelines across multiple teams with conflicting priorities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing data about people (employees, donors, and/or vendors).
- Experience working in cloud services for data: data warehousing, relational databases, business intelligence, data and metadata management.
- Experience working with geospatial data.
- Multicultural experience and multilingual skills.
