The Creative Operations and Production Specialist manages and implements the production of marketing materials and publications in TNC’s Marketing and Communications division.


The Creative Operations and Production Specialist provides high-quality operational and administrative support, as well as production customer service, for the implementation of Marketing Division projects. These projects involve various materials, including campaign case statements, reports, fact sheets, brochures, postcards, event programs, posters, display materials, preserve signage, trail maps, t-shirts, promotional materials, branded swag, and more.


They are responsible for managing the scheduling, printing, mailing, pricing, budgeting, and cost reconciliation of marketing publications and products. They ensure all organizational quality control procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed. Their responsibilities may also include soliciting and securing project bids, negotiating contracts, collaborating with external vendors, and managing production schedules and procedures.


As the Creative Operations and Production Specialist, you will:

  • Manage the entire production process, from pre-press preparation to post-press finishing and delivery. Includes file inspection and formatting to ensure that files meet the required specifications, shipping/delivery coordination, and vendor invoice processing.
  • Research, recommend, and contract with appropriate vendors for projects.
  • Manage vendor contract filing and organization for Creative Operations & Production team.
  • Work in collaboration with team/clients to provide consultation on production viability and project specs.
  • Create production schedules and traffic projects to ensure all production deadlines are met.
  • Execute work in line with set budgets and work creatively to stay within parameters and constraints.
  • Solicit and secure project bids and negotiate contracts.
  • Process invoices, ensuring alignment with contracts and managing and reconciliation of final costs.
  • Coordinate mailed projects with mail shops.
  • Work with clients/vendors to solve production-related issues as they arise.
  • Ensure all organization-mandated quality control steps are followed on all facets of a project.
  • Ensure that all contracts are executed and vendor work is managed in compliance with SOPs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional travel will be needed.

  • Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Extensive knowledge of printing processes, pre-press and proofing.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Experience managing contracts, including experience with and understanding of how to write effective scopes of work.
  • Knowledge of the mailing process, USPS regulations and trends.
  • Practical knowledge of current and evolving trends related to production and design.
  • Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in marketing.
  • Experience working in a team-based environment with internal and external partners.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Practical knowledge of marketing and branding principles.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience cultivating and managing client/customer relationships.
  • Experience writing, editing and proofreading.
  • Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.

SALARY INFORMATION


The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $50,000 – 81,000 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
