WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER


The Utah Dugout Ranch Farmer (DRF) performs and participates in agricultural operations at the Dugout Ranch, including the maintenance, management, development and coordination of crop cultivation, farming irrigation and equipment operation/maintenance. The DRF provides farming operations at the Dugout Ranch, including plowing, discing, harrowing and planting of fields/crops. The DRF also operates, monitors and maintains irrigation diversions, pipelines/gated pipe and water wheel lines. In addition, the DRF maintains fences, machinery and vehicles, and performs other tasks, as assigned. It is a requirement of this position that the employee live on site at the Dugout Ranch in the housing provided, and a housing agreement must be signed. This position also requires proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in natural resource management or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with crop cultivation and farming operations.
  • Experience in irrigation systems and application.
  • Experience completing tasks independently with respect to timelines.
  • Experience operating and or repairing various types of equipment and machinery.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION


This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with the Conservancy's Auto Safety Program. Employees may not drive Conservancy-owned/leased vehicles, rental cars, or personal vehicles on behalf of the Conservancy if considered "high risk drivers." Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record.
