WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Preserve Management Assistant (PMA) will participate in stewardship tasks on TNC preserves and protected partner lands (Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and US Fish and Wildlife Service) across Central Minnesota. The working landscape for this position ranges across an 8-10 county area that includes the restoration and maintenance of prairie, savanna, forest and wetland ecosystems with the majority of the time spent stewarding prairies in West Central MN.

Additional collateral tasks are likely, as well as multiple types of training opportunities. The PMA will regularly work with a 2-8 person crew, and be expected to periodically provide leadership for these crews. The PMA will work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances.

This position is based out of Kerkhoven, MN and pays $15.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience. Housing is provided at a shared crew house in the town of Kerkhoven with occasional overnight trips for stewardship projects across the working landscape (housing during these trips will be coordinated and provided for by TNC).
