Based in our Hong Kong office, the IT Support Engineer provides administration and support of IT infrastructure for TNC programs located in Hong Kong, China, Mongolia, Myanmar and Singapore. They perform an important role as a technology consultant for our conservation, fundraising and operations teams, and are an integral part of a professional IT infrastructure and support team located across TNC’s Asia Pacific region and around the globe.

Lifecycle management (purchasing, inventory, support) of computer and network equipment.
Onsite escalated support for IT infrastructure and services.
Onboarding orientation, support and assistance for new staff.
Development and maintenance of infrastructure plans including data management and backups, emergency/incident response and disaster recovery.
Participation in operations team functions, including IT forecasting and budgeting.
Development and delivery of staff communications and training for IT infrastructure, data management, etc.
Project management leadership for IT and regional technology initiatives and collaboration solutions.

Associate’s degree (or equivalent) and five years IT administration and support experience.
English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluency.
Experience with Windows and Mac PCs, servers and NAS devices, phone systems and network equipment.
Experience managing projects and budgets.
Excellent customer service and communications skills, experience supporting staff from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures and technical experience.
Experience remotely supporting customers and systems located across multiple sites and time zones.
Ability and willingness to travel to TNC sites across Asia including China, Mongolia, Myanmar and Singapore; and occasional travel to the United States. Travel may approach eight weeks per year (15%).
