WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER


The Development Coordinator is a key member of the Virginia philanthropy team whose goal is to secure funding and ensure financial sustainability for the conservation priorities of the Virginia chapter.

The Coordinator will support an array of fundraising activities across the team. They will assist the Director of Philanthropy with calendar management, travel arrangements and expense reports. They will help staff the Board of Trustees’ Philanthropy and Marketing Committee and will assist the Director in preparing presentations and coordinating meeting logistics. They will assist with board meeting logistics as needed.

The Coordinator will serve as point of contact for data management in the donor database (Blackbaud CRM). They will create, update and maintain constituent records and perform data entry functions. They will produce reports and coordinate with Worldwide Office staff to ensure that data quality is maintained.

The Coordinator will provide additional administrative support for the Philanthropy team which may include: scheduling team meetings and coordinating logistics; preparing PowerPoint presentations; assisting with special events and initiatives; providing donor research; and drafting correspondence.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-year experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with databases, including managing and tracking data.
  • Organizational skills experience and attention to detail.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with calendar management
  • Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to write and edit written materials for use with donor solicitations, member communications, and special events.
  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
