YOUR POSITION WITH TNC


The HR Systems Business Analyst provides sytems support on the Human Resources Management System (HRMS), currently PeopleSoft 9.2, alongwith integration support for other tools. The BA is responsible for configuration, reporting, troubleshooting and documenting processes. The area of system support varies from Administration to Talent Management modules and requires a high level of expertise in one or more area(s) of specialization spanning Global Payroll; Payroll for North America; Compensation; Benefits; Recruiting; Performance Management; Core HR; Employee Engagement tools; reporting; metrics, etc. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Global HR Systems and Data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


The Business Analyst is responsible for administering and maintaining HR systems, programs, procedures, and plans according to HR policies and will provide assistance to all levels of staff on various HR systems issues and requests and data requests.

  • Proficient on PeopleSoft or similar Human Resources Management System with 5 to 7 years of experience in various modules. TNC currently uses PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM in the following areas: Core HR, Workforce Administration, Benefits Administration, Payroll for North America, eCompensation, ePerformance, and Recruiting Solutions.
  • Comfort with training and presenting to staff on Systems and other Human Resources related subject matter.
  • Understanding the functional HR discipline areas in order to provide support and partner as a strategic system consultant.
  • Mid-to advanced ad hoc query/reporting skills using PeopleSoft query tools or SQL.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues by working with employees and technical teams, serving as a liaison and able to communicate between the two.
  • Knowledge of system testing, User Acceptance Testing including test script preparations, and leading testing groups.
  • Must be able to handle access to confidential information.
  • Exceptional Customer service skills required.
  • Ability to work in cross team environments with various interaction profiles in play.
  • Collaborative approach with partner teams within and outside of Human Resources.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to understand and document business processes.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise status updates to manager and seek input as appropriate.

  • Ability to interpret guidelines and analyze factual information.
  • Ability to complete multiple and variable well-defined assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to identify issues that involve other HR functional areas.
  • Perform duties under general supervision and established guidelines.
  • Demonstrate common sense, flexibility and teamwork with ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks. Refers difficult questions and unusual problems to supervisors.
  • Develops needs/requirements and improve processes with cross functional team feedback.
  • Ability to work with and communicate with a wide range of people including: employees, applicants and the public.
  • Ability to analyze available information for the purpose of coordinating efforts, planning, and implementing projects.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor, and discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years Human Resources work experience in area(s) of specialization or equivalent combination.
  • Experience coordinating and leading projects.
  • Experience responding to HR related questions, problems and data information requests from employees/management.
  • Experience the following areas: database management and spreadsheet software; constructing and producing reports; data input, manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience working with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with integrated Human Resources Management Systems

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of complex HRIS work experience or equivalent combination.
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, database management and spreadsheet software, with ability to construct and produce reports, data input, manipulation and analysis.
  • Good understanding of fundamental HR concepts, processes and services.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • May require fluency in foreign language(s) to support global operations. Specific language(s) may be preferred depending on operating unit.
