Energy Outreach Representative

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Energy Auditor to join our energy efficiency team. In this role, you’ll work directly with small businesses, property owners, and utility customers to assess energy use, identify savings opportunities, and support participation in utility-sponsored rebate programs. This is a field-based position ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, educating customers, and making a tangible impact on energy conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform walk-through energy assessments of homes and small commercial buildings
• Recommend energy-saving improvements for lighting, HVAC, insulation, and water heating
• Install basic energy-saving products such as LED lighting, aerators, and programmable thermostats
• Clearly explain energy assessment results and available rebate programs to customers
• Maintain accurate project data using spreadsheets and CRM software
• Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and trade allies to ensure smooth project execution
• Conduct inventory checks and maintain cleanliness of fleet vehicles and warehouse spaces
• Promote energy programs through presentations and on-site customer engagement
• Provide written reports summarizing findings and energy savings estimates

Qualifications:

• Equivalent field experience
• 1–2 years of experience in energy efficiency, construction, or HVAC preferred
• Strong communication, customer service, and data entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
