Accountant
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join a dynamic and growing renewable energy business in Hamburg. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of accounting activities, contribute to process improvements, and work closely with external tax advisors and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial accounting in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) using DATEV.
- Independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements for partnerships and corporations under HGB.
- Prepare VAT returns, statistical reports, and other required filings.
- Work closely with tax advisors and auditors, ensuring accurate and timely coordination.
- Contribute to the digitalisation and optimisation of accounting processes.
- Develop and improve internal workflows to increase efficiency, transparency, and quality.
Your Profile
- Completed training as a Financial Accountant, Certified Accountant, Tax Specialist, or equivalent qualification.
- Solid practical experience in accounting in a comparable role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Independent, structured, and proactive approach to work.
- Strong interest in digital tools and new technologies, including AI-supported processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Motivation to continuously improve processes and ways of working.
- Very good German skills, at least C1 level, both written and spoken.
- Good English skills are an advantage.
