Working closely with senior leadership across sustainability, business development, finance, operations, and compliance, you'll take ownership of commercially facing sustainability frameworks while supporting Future Biogas' wider net-zero and growth strategy.

You'll also lead and mentor a small sustainability team, whilst acting as a key point of contact with regulators, certification bodies, auditors, consultants, and corporate stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of sustainability strategy, governance, reporting and emissions reduction targets
  • Provide technical oversight on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and GHG emissions calculations
  • Support commercial agreements and certificate market opportunities through robust MRV processes
  • Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders including regulators, auditors, and certification bodies
  • Identify sustainability-related commercial risks and support mitigation strategies
  • Line management responsibility for Sustainability Coordinator and Sustainability Assistant

About You

We're keen to speak with commercially minded sustainability professionals who bring:

  • Experience within renewable energy, anaerobic digestion, carbon markets, or wider sustainability sectors
  • Strong understanding of sustainability certification and carbon accounting methodologies
  • Knowledge of guarantees of origin and environmental certificate markets
  • Experience in Life Cycle Assessment and emissions modelling
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Previous team leadership or mentoring experience
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset

Why Join Future Biogas?

With significant investment backing, ambitious growth plans, and industry-leading projects, Future Biogas offers the chance to play a genuinely impactful role in shaping the UK's low-carbon future.
