This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Climate Week NYC, one of the worlds largest and most influential climate events. Youll help curate and deliver thought-provoking sessions that bring together top executives, policymakers, and industry leaders to inspire collective action. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Producer, youll collaborate closely with our sponsorship team to craft and execute sponsored content at our in-person events.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Conference Producer with a strong interest in climate and sustainability events to join a highly ambitious team. You will be responsible for taking ownership of the development and delivery of sponsor-led event content at Climate Week NYC.
You will champion ambition, be the main point of contact and support the on-time project delivery of in-person sessions to the delight of our partners whilst ensuring close alignment with the events key themes and messaging. Acting as a key point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to globally influential climate events and work alongside leaders driving meaningful climate action.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Producer, with coaching from the existing Content Manager you will be well supported to play a critical role in ensuring that our events help drive Climate Groups mission, bringing together the worlds most influential people to tackle climate change.
Key responsibilities will include:
Content Support:
- Take ownership of the overall curation of sponsored event content across the Hub Live at Climate Week NYC
- Build and lead a strong project management plan for each sponsored session as well as owning the session tracking process ensuring all relevant documents and web-based speaker spreadsheets are kept up to date
- Offer content best practice and suggestions for edits (where required) on submitted content to ensure wider agenda alignment
- Lead and contributing effectively to weekly calls with sponsors to monitor progress and provide both key and incremental updates
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the event content and a good overview of the Climate Groups areas of work.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of all briefing materials and panel calls (including briefing packs, rehearsal event calendar invitations, cue cards) prior to the event for sponsored roundtables with support of the Speaker and Event Manager and Officer
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the event strategy and the role of the events team within the Climate Group and helping to deliver on this strategy.
Project Management and Team Support:
- Work directly with sponsors keep to deadlines and help them to follow our processes so they can deliver their event on time
- Complete internal run-of-show documents for sponsor content, provide timely updates and drive consistency across timings and formats
- Help drive audience interest in sponsor content by encouraging and monitoring topical content, agenda readiness and high-level speaker acquisition
- Support the sponsorship team in achieving their revenue target, identifying prospective sponsors, attending meetings and leading on updating on event content
- Ensure all EDI speaker objectives are met and exceeded where possible
- Good management and oversight of all content including programmatic work delivered by system leads
- Provide the delegate marketing team with content in a time-sensitive manner to ensure they can effectively promote the events
- Take ownership of work, seek to solve problems and work SMART to achieve your goals
Onsite Event Management:
- Meet with all sponsors onsite and proactively support sponsor session delivery
- Actively question our content, and speaker management processes and suggest and implement improvements where feasible

Essential
- Proven conference production experience
- Experience in stakeholder management with the ability to effectively influence and provide constructive challenge when required
- High appreciation of commercial and financial drivers for businesses and NGOs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of cultures, levels of seniority and geographies
- Demonstrate a deep and detailed knowledge and understanding of climate issues, with reference to corporate sustainability issues and subnational climate commitments
- Motivated, professional, and diplomatic demeanour
- Commitment to the mission of the Climate Group and having a strong understanding of our areas of work
- An engaging team player with the ability to identify where support is needed and fill in with time-sensitive suggestions as well balance strategic planning
Desirable
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working for an NGO or charity

This is a full-time 6-month fixed-term contract. The salary offered is £36,420 - £38,559 per annum, based on experience.
