Role Description

This is a volunteer remote role for a Developer specializing in iOS, Android, or backend development to contribute to The Climate App’s mission of fighting climate change. The Developer will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining scalable and user-friendly mobile and web applications. Day-to-day tasks may include collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying areas for innovation, and enhancing the app's functionality to create a seamless user experience. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through technology.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in iOS or Android development, including experience with Swift, Kotlin, or related frameworks.
  • Experience with backend development, including programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Ruby, and familiarity with cloud services.
  • Knowledge of responsive and user-centric design for mobile and web applications.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and optimisation skills
  • Ability to collaborate within a remote, cross-functional team environment with excellent communication skills.
  • A passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to combating climate change.
  • Prior knowledge in data security, app scalability, or machine learning is beneficial but not required.
