Content Writer and Creator (Full Time)

We are looking for a highly creative, experienced Content Writer and Creator with a strong background in sustainability, ESG and climate action to join our team full time.

Role Summary

• The Content Writer and Creator will develop, manage and execute all TCN content across digital platforms. This role requires someone who understands sustainability deeply, thinks creatively, and can translate complex concepts into human, engaging content.
• You will lead storytelling, content calendars, app launch content, LMS content adaptation and online community engagement.
• This role does not require videography.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Writing

• Write clear, compelling and original content for all TCN platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, website and newsletters.
• Create educational content on sustainability, ESG, circular economy and climate change.
• Develop thought-leadership pieces, micro-stories, hooks and community-driven content.
• Convert technical sustainability concepts into relatable, human-centered language.

Strategy and Planning

• Build monthly content calendars across all social platforms.
• Develop interactive content ideas including IG Live topics, conversation prompts, polls, challenges and expert sessions.
• Support the marketing team with social media strategies and campaign plans.
• Provide creative direction for app launch content and LMS communications.

Platform & Community Engagement

• Grow and engage the TCN online community through relevant content.
• Monitor trends in sustainability and adapt content accordingly.
• Respond to comments in brand voice and support conversations around circular economy.

Collaboration & Execution

• Work with the design team to bring concepts to life (no videography required).
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and shape narratives.
• Ensure brand consistency across all channels.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Content Writer or Content Creator.
• Strong background in sustainability, ESG, climate change or circular economy content.
• Excellent writing, storytelling and communication skills.
• Strong creativity and ability to develop fresh, human-centered ideas.
• Experience creating content calendars and social media plans.
• Ability to develop ideas for IG Live topics, interactive content and campaigns.
• Understanding of LMS communications and application launch content is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with social media analytics and insights.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with sustainability-focused organizations.
• Knowledge of African sustainability trends and audiences.
• Prior involvement in climate-related projects is a plus.
