Main duties and responsibilities:


As a successful candidate you will be part of a cohort working on a wide range of consultancy activities. The main responsibility of our Interns is to support project delivery through research, analysis, report writing, and project and administrative support.

You will have the opportunity to apply a high degree of independence and initiative in delivering high-quality work which includes the following:


  • Supporting and participating in projects to deliver quality outputs
  • Communicating findings orally and in writing (e.g. during meetings and in reports)
  • Supporting technical modelling and calculations with energy data
  • Participating in site visits and other client engagements alongside senior colleagues
  • Conducting research to support both business development and project delivery
  • Assisting with proposal writing and business development activities
  • Contributing to knowledge management across the team
  • Providing general administrative and project supp


Skills and experience that we are looking for:


  • Degree educated or equivalent skills and experience
  • Highly numerate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong research skills with the ability to critically evaluate sources and use AI tools responsibly.
  • Interest in decarbonisation innovation and climate change adaptation
  • Experience of, or interest in, one or more of the following areas:
  • Energy management, energy efficiency, renewable energy
  • Carbon footprinting, carbon innovation
  • Net zero strategies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to non‑technical audiences
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to work independently, taking initiative and ownership of tasks, with strong organisational and time management skills
