Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor account reconciliations, while supporting general ledger activities and month-end close. This role partners closely with internal departments to deliver high-quality financial services, maintain strong controls, and drive process improvement.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (approximately 60%)
- Responsible for providing superior service to departments for accounts payable processing and analysis
- Assist departments in invoice coding ensuring that proper G/L accounts, departments, and projects are utilized
- Confirm invoices are validated, aligns with the approved contract, and includes appropriate documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Work in conjunction with the Treasury Manager to ensure timely payments of the Company’s vendors by achieving or exceeding targets for accounts payable
General Ledger/Accounting (approximately 30%)
- Complete the analysis and accrual of unpaid invoices and un-invoiced completed services relating to the current accounting period
- Assist with month-end closing activities and annual audit
- Reconcile G/L accounts with a follow-up task of posting general journal entries as needed
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- Maintain Finance SharePoint structure mapping file
- Pinpoint issues needing improvement and develop a potential solution for implementation after team/ manager discussion
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting or finance experience
- Degree in accounting, business, finance or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

- Experience in a non-profit organization
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
Employment Package
- Full-Time Position, 40 Hours a Week
- Required travel: less than 5%
- Annual Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 USD
