Tetra Tech is adding a motivated Project Manager - Renewables to join our growing California Energy Practice. This position offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to high-profile renewable energy development projects, including solar, wind, battery energy storage, and transmission throughout California and the Western U.This position is affiliated with our Irvine, CA office, but remote work arrangements are available.

Tetra Tech supports clients in developing renewable energy projects from concept to completion, assisting with siting, due diligence, permitting, and compliance. The Project Manager - Renewables will manage projects, build and maintain client relationships, and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver technical, regulatory, and environmental solutions that move renewable projects forward efficiently and compliantly.
Serve as Project Manager, leading technical projects, budgets, and client communications.
Identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals and cost estimates, and develop project approaches.
Manage and oversee preparation of land-use and resource permit applications for federal, state, and local agencies.
Support and lead siting, permitting, and environmental review for renewable energy projects.
Oversee project execution to ensure quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
Participate in and support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client meetings.
Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and staff assignments.
Ensure compliance with Tetra Tech's health, safety, and quality standards.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Geology, or a related field.
~7-15 years of experience managing and supporting CEQA projects, including preparation of IS/MNDs, EIRs, or related CEQA documentation.

Prior environmental consulting experience strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in California.
Experience with energy development clients and large-scale renewable projects.
Ability to perform fieldwork and attend site visits and meetings as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions.
Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
Work may be performed remotely, in an office, or in the field.
Fieldwork may involve outdoor environments, uneven terrain, and weather variability.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required for client meetings, site visits, and project work.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
