What to Expect

The Tesla Gigafactory Advanced Water Treatment Supervisor is the frontline leader for the GFNV Advance Water Treatment System. The Supervisor will support a team of AWT Operators who monitor and maintain GFNV Advanced Water Treatment Systems on a 24/7 basis. The Supervisor will be the first line of escalation for issues with the Water Treatment System. The Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating operational and maintenance activities across multiple shifts, working cross functionally with both internal service providers and contractors. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of manufacturing water treatment systems. Previous leadership experience is highly preferred.


What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain a proactive operating group with a focus on operating various water treatments systems, technical execution, and customer service
  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate shift goals with the AWT operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and advocating for improvements
  • Enforce policies, develop procedures, and plan resource allocation to support daily planned and unplanned activities
  • Provide training, mentoring, and career development to personnel, improving performance and team efficiency
  • Communicate detailed work plans, verify task execution, and produce reports to measure productivity and goal achievement
  • Monitor and maintain chemical and supply inventory for the Advanced Water Treatment System
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shift-related issues, managing escalations, resolving technical problems, and acting as incident commander for AWT related excursions

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience, with 4+ years in Pure Water and/or Wastewater Treatment
  • Wear and advocate for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per site protocols
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk for 10+ hours daily, lift 10-20 lbs, and work in heavy equipment rooms, chemical storage, and hazardous environments
  • Capable of obtaining OSHA 30 certification within 3 months of hire
  • Discern audible/visual alarms and work with hazardous materials
  • Support shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication skills, and high tolerance for change
