What to Expect What You’ll Bring
Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and installs electrical equipment and systems at Gigafactory Nevada's facility using technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Collaborates within the entire Facilities Operations/Maintenance department, undertaking general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as required and assigned.
What You’ll Do- Calibrate and repair instruments and associated equipment
- Work with electronic control systems, including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements for automated processes
- Support controls group in troubleshooting, upgrading, and installing new systems
- Measure levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and analytical processes; test instrumentation and control systems; and maintain test equipment
- Consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
- Repair and adjust system components, remove and replace defective parts
- Install control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment; work on projects throughout the facility, connecting devices, and using lifts and ladders. Perform equipment repairs and similar duties independently, utilizing complex electrical schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting and correction
- Knowledge of using hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipment
- Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings
- Strong troubleshooting skills in motor controls, drives, and electronic components
- Interpretation of electrical prints and schematics
- Capability to work at high elevations up to 80 ft
- Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and ability to work independently or collaboratively with all levels of management. Good understanding of VFDs and PLCs
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
