Tesla is looking for a Construction Superintendent to work on large scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent. Our product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines. The Electrical Superintendent will play a critical role in leading an internal self-perform group of carpenters, operators, and laborers to construct the SEMI production facility. The position is located in Sparks, NV.
- Enforce and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and attitude on self-work crews
- Develop, communicate, and improve upon logistics, schedules, and other operational plans
- Interface with BIM Coordination team to provide detailed field use information, ensure work is installed per plan, and BIM model reflects all as-built details
- Direct work in field, track changes, solve for issues before they delay work
- Work with user groups as needed to facilitate successful project completion
- Develop and maintain schedules and tools for communicating work plan, flow and progress to crews, other trades, project teams and management
- Work with procurement team to create biddable work packages; track against estimate to manage costs and update appropriate teams
- Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years experience on large commercial or industrial projects with an emphasis in finishes and general construction
- Ability to read, interpret, and translate architectural and finish plans and specifications as well as all aspects of building, framing, framing finishes, and wall type details
- Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
- Experience managing self-perform teams in the field of: Framing, Drywall, Finishing, Painting, Tile, Millwork, Doors and Hardware
