What to Expect

Tesla is looking for skilled Construction Superintendent to lead and supervise the construction of a large-scale battery manufacturing facility through the retrofitting of a storage warehouse. This challenging project involves extensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process scopes, requiring someone adept at managing a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision and attention to detail. The facility includes highly sensitive tools, dry rooms, and clean rooms, making your role pivotal in ensuring the successful completion of this cutting-edge project. The position is located in Sparks, NV.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards
  • Develop and maintain project execution and site logistics plans
  • Create and develop detailed short interval planning schedules that is aligned with major milestones of the project
  • Manage and coordinate on-site construction teams, including contractors, and tool install and testing teams to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal productivity
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols, particularly in areas with highly sensitive tools, clean rooms, and dry rooms.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to interpret and implement design modifications effectively
  • Supervise the installation and integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process systems, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree or equavalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience in large industrial construction projects in Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Refining, Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductors, Healthcare, Data Center, High End Retail or equivalent high-tech facilities
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects including but not limited to industrial and manufacturing facility upgrades, brownfield construction, building retrofit or tenant improvement project(s)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process systems
  • Familiarity with clean room protocols and experience managing projects with highly sensitive tools
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate on-site teams effectively
