What to Expect
The Recruiting Technology team is responsible for system development, analytics, and operations that support the Recruiting and Immigration functions at Tesla. We’re hiring a driven Software Engineer to join the team who will lead the implementation of AI and large language models throughout the recruiting and immigration processes to accelerate the organization’s progress and supercharge the work of recruiters and immigration attorneys. The ideal candidate will possess the curiosity to solve difficult problems and the talent to bring solutions to reality. As a key member of our team, this person will take charge of designing, training, testing, and deploying models, working across teams to leverage data that will help automate and streamline the organization’s processes.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI models, from design and development to training, testing, deployment, and maintenance, to drive business value in recruiting and immigration processes
  • Develop the necessary infrastructure to support AI model deployment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and optimization, and design AI-powered solutions to address them
  • Work closely with stakeholders to transform ambiguous problem statements into clear objectives, developing infrastructure that drives material improvements in internal processes and tooling
  • Design and develop web applications and interfaces for recruiters and immigration attorneys to interact with and derive value from AI models


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, good at solving complex technical problems with high standards for code quality
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
  • Experience with large language models and their applications
  • Knowledge of the principles and concepts related to designing and implementing scalable and reliable infrastructure for machine learning workloads
  • Experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and shipping web applications is preferred

Expected Compensation

$111,200 - $433,680/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
