What to Expect
The Vehicle Readiness Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all vehicle preparation and quality operations in the dedicated delivery center, working cross-functionally with supporting departments to ensure smooth and timely delivery of vehicles to new owners with the least amount of dwell. You will be the point person for day-to-day operations involving vehicle readiness across the delivery centers. You will be expected to provide initiatives that define and improve the standards of vehicle preparation operations across the market, with keen focus on reducing costs, increasing speed, and maintaining defined quality standards. The role directly supports Tesla’s mission by creating an exceptional and memorable delivery experience for our customers.
What You’ll Do
  • Manage and report on day-to-day operations to achieve vehicle readiness KPIs including throughput, productivity, and vehicle quality
  • Minimize downstream service work to other locations by providing on-site resolution
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
  • Plan, prepare and distribute work to technicians based on skill level, capacity and resource
  • Select and develop a team to reach their full potential
  • Follow best-practices processes and procedures to increase efficiency
  • Ensure that the tools and equipment are available and calibrated
  • Supervise the health and safety compliance across the workshop, setting the tone and always leading by example
  • Oversee inventory management, making sure the workshop is tidy and well organized
  • Communicate effectively with your team and with external stakeholders
  • Perform vehicle maintenance as required alongside the team, especially during busy periods
What You’ll Bring
  • Technical Automotive background is preferred, but not necessary
  • Team Player: You thrive collaborating closely in diverse teams and can work in shifts to support your team. You can adapt to changing work instructions and environments.
  • Creative Problem Solving: desire to fix problems when they arise, but also understand why and how they happened to prevent them from happening again.
  • Process-Oriented: Innate ability to find inefficiencies in processes and develop creative solutions for solving them
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead by example, motivate a team
  • A good communicator: Able to communicate, read and write effectively in English & preferable Swedish
  • You are calm and think before acting
  • Valid Driver's license and safe driving record
