Sr. Product Manager, Energy Applications

Together, these products create a seamless, intelligent energy experience for homes and businesses. We are looking for a Product Engineer to join our Energy team, where the Digital Experience team is redefining how customers discover, purchase, and interact with Teslas energy products. In this role, you will drive product vision and strategy, work directly with engineering to deliver innovative solutions, and ensure our products continuously evolve to meet customer needs and accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.

What Youll Do

  • Define and champion the product vision and strategy for residential energy software experiences
  • Own and evolve the product roadmap, balancing longterm vision with shortterm priorities in a dynamic, fastpaced environment
  • Engage deeply with customers to understand their needs and workflows, uncovering opportunities to improve the product experience
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver scalable, highimpact solutions
  • Use agile methodologies to write clear user stories, plan sprints, and manage the software development lifecycle
  • Manage crossfunctional dependencies across engineering, design, legal, sales, and service teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key product performance metrics. Use datadriven insights to identify problems, measure impact, and inform future decisions
  • Analyze system logs, customer feedback, and operational data to identify trends and troubleshoot issues
  • Communicate product performance and team impact widely, building alignment and driving outcomes across the organization

What Youll Bring

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability
  • 4+ years of experience managing software products in a highly technical environment, ideally working directly with engineering teams
  • Proven track record of successfully launching software products that deliver measurable business value
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to write SQL queries to extract and analyze product data
  • Experience working with distributed systems, REST APIs, and understanding software development fundamentals
  • Entrepreneurial instincts, with the ability to take initiative, make informed decisions with limited data, and drive progress in ambiguous situations
  • Strong communication and storytelling skillsable to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Ability to thrive in Teslas fastmoving, innovationdriven culture, where speed, creativity, and flexibility are essential
  • Experience working crossfunctionally across engineering, legal, finance, sales, operations, and customer service

Compensation

Expected Compensation: $128,000$228,000 annually salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, jobrelated knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
