What to Expect What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
As part of the PLM Analyst Team within the Vehicle Engineering & Operations organization, the PLM Analyst will work with various teams throughout Engineering and Manufacturing on sustaining vehicle programs playing a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of a product, from its inception to its retirement. The PLM Analyst is responsible for transactional day-to-day activities such as analyzing and processing change orders to ensure an accurate and timely release of the Engineering Bill of Materials with proper specifications and part attributes to align with company standards. Training of internal cross-functional teams on processes and monitoring their adherence to standards while reviewing and processing their requests is an essential function of the PLM Analyst. In addition, a PLM analyst must stay updated with industry standards and technological advancements.
- Work within Tesla's PLM and ERP platforms to review & route change orders and maintain an accurate Bill of Materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accurately process changes
- Have a general understanding of Bill of Materials and its key components, and the PLM teams processes and standards to help identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions
- Track the lifecycle of CA’s and Deviations daily while upholding Engineers to our standard processes
- Provide adhoc training on the change control processes and procedures to engineers and operations teams
- Work with Engineers and PLM software support teams to address and debug issues
- Gather and analyze data related to product design, manufacturing processes, and customer feedback
- Review and execute on audits to help maintain the accuracy of the Engineering Bill of Materials
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment or related industry
- Experience with PLM tools and processes, Document Control or Configuration Management. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Demonstrate understanding of what constitutes a Bill of Material, knowledge of Change Control and Product Lifecycle Management standards
Compensation and Benefits
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$56,000 - $114,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
