What to Expect
As part of the PLM Vehicle Engineering & Operations team, the Analyst will work with Design Engineering and NPI Program Management on sustaining vehicle and energy programs from design phases through production implementation in the PLM Program Management Group. The PLM Analyst is responsible for transactional day-to-day activities such as analyzing and processing change orders to ensure an accurate and timely release of Engineering Bill of Materials. Ensure BOM specifications and part attributes align with company standards, as well as ensuring accurate structuring of these changes to the Manufacturing Bill of Materials. Training of internal cross-functional teams on processes and monitoring their adherence while reviewing and processing requests is another essential function of the analyst.
What You’ll Do
  • Support construction and change management of multi-level Bills of Material
  • Work within Tesla's PLM and ERP platforms to maintain an accurate Bill of Materials
  • Provide adhoc training on the change control process to engineers and operations teams
  • Process Change Actions’s and Deviations on a daily basis while upholding our standards
  • Provide project readiness data to program management and leadership teams
  • Interface with all necessary individuals in supporting departments to accurately process changes
  • Provide support on engineering activities such as part & BOM creation as well as initial BOM releases
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience with PLM tools, Change Control and Configuration Management in an automotive manufacturing organization
  • Demonstrate understanding of what constitutes Bills of Material and Product Lifecycle Management standards
  • Hands on PLM/MRP/ERP systems experience. 3DX experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience dealing with overlapping projects and shifting priorities within critical due dates
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Excel

Expected Compensation

$56,000 - $114,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
