Tesla sets the bar for what a trustworthy & resilient charging network can be. The Charging Operations team ensures that Tesla continues to deliver the best possible charging customer experience through proactive engagement and growth of the global charging network.
The Payments Specialist works on the North America Supercharger Operations team in Draper, UT. This role is responsible for centralized payment processes, supplier onboarding, and invoice processing for utility & rent payments. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders (Supercharger Deployment Team, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tools & Analytics) in addition to external stakeholders like utilities, jurisdictions, and site hosts.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the Supercharger business partner for all Supplier Master Team, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable projects
- Manage and administer centralized accounting and payments processes like fixed assets, supplier on-boarding, check management, and aging invoices
- Maintain accuracy of our utility account information Tesla systems and manage new utility account set up for our expanding network
- Responsible for maintaining device registration data, registration form submissions, and payment submittals to local county weights and measures departments, to ensure each charging station complies with state and county law
- Compile and manage monthly and quarterly reports for team reviews and validations
- Drive efficiency improvements with internal systems
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, or equivalent
- Previous experience working with financial operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting or utilities preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Impeccable attention to detail with proven, efficient execution when working with a high volume of accounts
- Strong communicator, ability to relay information across multiple stakeholders in a timely manner
- Task-focused, while maintaining a flexible attitude toward critical tasks
