What to Expect What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
As a Used Vehicle Intake Specialist at Tesla, you'll play a crucial role as the frontline representative for all cars entering Tesla’s Used Vehicle Program. Your responsibility is to be the eyes on the ground, ensuring an accurate assessment of the cars' quality during intake. This includes meticulously documenting any damage and generating repair estimates. In this role, you'll collaborate with Customers, Technicians, Used Vehicle Quality Specialists, Acquisition Specialists, and 3rd Party providers.
The ideal candidate not only possesses a customer service mindset but also brings basic body repair estimating experience. Your ability to produce results and drive efficiency directly contributes to supporting Tesla’s mission. Success at Tesla requires energy, strong organizational skills, and a diligent work ethic. A passion for sustainable energy and the ability to create outstanding client experiences are crucial. While individual contributions are acknowledged, teamwork is essential for achieving the highest level of success at Tesla.
- Manage and schedule in-person lease end inspections and trade-in evaluation requests
- Perform a 360-degree walk-around of scheduled cars for evaluation
- Determine repair parts, time, and labor required to complete vehicle repairs
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding the vehicle intake process
- Answer phone calls, emails and address any customer concern with the highest level of attention
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- 3-4 years of body repair experience, or 1-2 years of auto damage appraisal experience; 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Experience identifying after-market parts
- Experience using Audatex
- Intermediate computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications (Office 365)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed and to travel to multiple work locations
- Valid driver's license required

Expected Compensation
- Project Coordinator I - $18.40 - $27.60/hour
- Project Coordinator II - $22.40 - $33.60/hour
- Project Coordinator III - $26.40 - $39.60/hour
