What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a motivated 3DEXPERIENCE CAD and PLM Support Engineer. This person will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and IT to support the use of Engineering applications. These tools are a critical foundational element in Tesla’s future product and Manufacturing plans. S/he should have experience in 3D CAD and PLM applications (CATIA 3DX, CATIA V5, ENOVIA, 3DEXPERIENCE) and other related tools (SolidWorks, Revit, Teamcenter, etc.). This person should have a strong work ethic, a documentation-focused attitude, and a passion for making engineering efficient. Tesla is a fast-paced environment where you will work on key technologies of many extremely exciting products. This role is required to be onsite 5 days/week at Tesla in Berlin, Germany.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide mentoring and support of Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE platform, CATIA V5, CATIA 3DX and change management processes
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to internal Tesla engineering for all engineering applications at Tesla
  • Establish and document best practices to enable teams to function efficiently and understand business processes, gather requirements, and help validate solutions that are aligned with business goals
  • Work with software vendors and application product teams to enable issues resolution and enhancements
  • Investigate and explore capabilities of engineering tools to improve design methods, and change management
  • License management support, including enrollment, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Monitor and track support request in a service desk application
What You’ll Bring
  • Education in mechanical engineering or equivalent and at least 5 years of progressive experience in the industry
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA, ENOVIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, SolidWorks, and MQL
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts with clarity through impeccable communication, documentation
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and project management experience
  • Excellent customer service approach
  • Experience in the automotive industry with numerous CAD/PLM Systems is preferred
  • Scripting or programming skills preferred (EKL, PowerShell, Batch, C#, etc)
