What to Expect What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
The Tesla Gigafactory team in Austin is looking for an experienced Technical Writer who will work alongside Engineers and other Technical Writers to document the details of manufacturing processes and equipment operation. The ideal candidate is familiar with technical writing processes and can efficiently capture information with notes, photographs, and recordings, then transform this information into concise Manufacturing Instructions, Visual Aids, Training Checklists, and Equipment Maintenance Instructions.
- Create process documentation that clearly and efficiently communicates concepts, ideas, and instructions
- Convert verbal information into written procedures
- Demonstrate expertise in digital photography and videography
- Manipulate files between camera and computer
- Work in tandem with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to outline processes in various shops
- Experience creating process documentation in a Manufacturing space
- Ability to edit and format images and video
- Experience reading and interpreting complex mechanical drawings and documents
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
