What to Expect What You’ll Bring
As a Culinary Coordinator at Tesla's Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the provision of high-quality culinary services to our employees. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations, including, vendor management, operational excellence and asset management and maintenance. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences will contribute to fostering a vibrant and healthy workplace environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and compliance with food safety standards
- Implement and enforce strict food safety protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements and Tesla's internal policies
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities and equipment to ensure cleanliness and compliance with sanitation standards
- Solicit feedback from employees to continuously evaluate and improve the quality of dining services
- Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed customer expectations at all times
- Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably in a corporate dining or hospitality setting
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of diverse cuisines, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices, including HACCP principles
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
