What to Expect What You’ll Bring
Tesla is looking for highly motivated Quality Technicians for our cutting-edge Tesla battery cell manufacturing program to perform routine production sampling and support failure analysis processes. In this role, you would work closely with Quality Engineering teams under the guidance of lab management to perform computed tomography scanning with the highest safety, quality, and output standards. The work environment is demanding, fast-paced, and incredibly exciting. The ideal candidate should be ready to push their limits as they join a highly motivated and capable team.
What You’ll Do- Work with a team of Materials Scientists, Engineers, and Technicians performing routine CT scanning in a 24x7 cell manufacturing quality laboratory
- Perform a variety of tasks, following established procedures, including CT image profile management, parts flow management, and computed tomography image acquisition
- Validate image data in a high-volume environment
- Provide input for the continued improvement of test procedures
- Maintain inventory of consumable supplies
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
- Enforce 5S and workplace hygiene standards
- 2+ years’ experience working in a quality or engineering support environment
- Previous experience with operating industrial radiographic equipment and interpretation of multi-planar imaging is a plus
- Detail-oriented, excels at performing repetitive tasks where both high degrees of accuracy and precision are required
- Able to work both independently and in a collaborative project-focused environment, prompt and dependable, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working with hazardous materials in a laboratory environment
- Be capable and willing to perform all the manual tasks involved with lab work, such as safely moving heavy objects, moving large pallets with a pallet jack, handling incoming materials, etc.
