Plant Manager
Job Description Position Summary The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the Sparta facility, ensuring efficient production processes, consistent product quality, and a safe, engaging work environment. This role manages plant wide activities including production planning, workflow execution, staffing, and resource allocation to achieve company objectives. The Plant Manager promotes operational excellence, ensures adherence to approved budgets, and drives continuous improvement efforts to support long term business goals. The Plant Manager directs and manages all plant operations, including production, quality, materials, and associated support departments. This role holds decision making authority over all employees within assigned functional areas. Responsibilities
- Lead and execute plant operating strategies that align with company goals.
- Manage production operations to meet schedule, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Optimize resource utilization including staffing, equipment, and materials.
- Oversee plant budgeting and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Champion a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track plant performance and drive improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Lead and develop plant leadership and frontline teams, including performance evaluations.
- Conduct risk assessments and support quality system requirements (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
- Bachelor's degree in business management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Plant Manager or 5 years as a Senior. Operations Manager in a comparable manufacturing facility.
- Lean Manufacturing training with proven, demonstrable knowledge.
- Knowledge of ISO-based quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Familiarity with environmental regulations (ISO 14001).
- Proven success in strategic planning, budget management, and operational leadership.
