We also have in-house ecology and bushfire teams, which allow us to deliver accurate and reliable surveys and reporting to inform our environmental assessments.


We work across a range of sectors, including land development, resources, renewable energy and infrastructure, for a range of private and public sector clients. In this role, you will take ownership of project delivery, manage key client relationships, and contribute to high-quality environmental impact assessments and approvals for projects across Western Australia. As part of our Environmental Management team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external professionals who are passionate about delivering complex and challenging environmental projects.

About the opportunity

Due to existing and confirmed future project opportunities across a range of sectors we are seeking a full-time (37.5 hrs/week) Senior to Associate Environmental Consultant to join our talented Environmental Management team, based in either Perth or Bunbury.


Your responsibilities will include attending meetings with our key clients and environmental regulators, managing project budgets and schedules, and coordinating the preparation of deliverables the achieve project outcomes for our clients. Through using professional experience and technical resources you contribute to our team in achieving the best environmental and societal outcomes.

This will include working on the following key environmental scopes:

· Environmental due diligence assessments and approvals pathways / strategies.

· Environmental assessment reports to inform planning approvals.

· Environmental impact assessments under Part IV of the EP Act and the EPBC Act.

· Environmental management plans.

· Clearing permits under Part V of the EP Act.

· EPBC Act referrals and further environmental assessments under the EPBC Act.

· Offset strategies and offset management plans for EP Act and EPBC Act approvals.

· Environmental audit and compliance reporting.


You will be supported by a highly experienced and respected team while also providing technical leadership and mentoring to early-career consultants. About you:

You will thrive in this role if you:

· Can lead and manage end-to-end project delivery.

· Are passionate about environmental planning, management and impact assessment, and achieving balanced outcomes for the environment, community and industry.

· Can interpret and apply environmental legislation and policy in technical reporting.

· Take pride in delivering high-quality work with strong attention to detail.


To be successful, you will have:

· A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Planning or a related discipline.

· 5–10 years’ experience in environmental management or assessment in consultancy, government or industry, with demonstrated project management capability.

· Strong technical expertise in environmental impact assessment, approvals, statutory advice and environmental management plans.

· Demonstrated experience preparing complex assessment documentation.

· Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Experience managing project budgets, schedules and delivery performance.

· Experience leading small teams (desirable).

· Previous fieldwork experience (desirable).

· A current C Class driver’s licence and ability to travel if required.

· Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
