RIM and TEDEV Program Owner
This position is the program engineer supporting two Design Authority Programs (DAPs) for the Natrium Project. The first is the Reliability and Integrity Management (RIM) program. The second is Thermal Effects, Dynamic Events, and Vibrations (TEDEV) program. This position directly supports these programs through the design, analysis, start up and testing phases of Natrium Project plants. In the design and analysis phases, this position will coordinate between stakeholders to ensure program objectives are defined and achieved as the design progresses. This will involve interfacing with internal and external resources and providing reporting to the program owner such as the RIM Expert Panel Chair. During the start-up and testing phases, this position will first interface with equipment and component suppliers, and later with testing personnel to collect and analyze data necessary for the qualification of the plant(s).
Internal mentorship will be provided as the RIM and TEDEV program project coordination responsibilities are transitioned to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the RIM DAP execution through subsequent Natrium plant phases
- Lead the TEDEV DAP execution through subsequent Natrium plant phases
- Provide oversight to internal and/or external TEDEV analyses
- Interface with various stakeholder organizations to ensure RIM and TEDEV are accounted for in design, analyses, fabrication and testing.
- Identify and lead closure of RIM and TEDEV programmatic open items
- Act as the supplier interface for Monitoring and Nondestructive Examination (MANDE) methods development (UT, piezo films, fiber optics, USV, etc.)
- Apply requirements from industry C&S such as ASME Section XI, Div. 2 (RIM) and ASME OM (TEDEV)
- Provide project engineering functions to develop and execute work breakdown structures, compiled from subject matter expert and stakeholder input
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Eight years of related experience with a STEM Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s degree, or 3 years with a relevant PhD.
- Ability to compile component engineering requirements from design input documents such as specifications, drawings, Failure Modes and Effects (FMEA) and stress analysis
- Understand basic monitoring and (Nondestructive Examination) NDE principles
- Ability to work across multiple organizations including system design, component engineering, operations, licensing and supply chain
- Familiarity with industry piping codes and standards such as ASME BPVC Section III, B31.1, and B31.3.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, including supplier management
- Manages project updates works with business manager and PMO to maintain integrated schedules

Salary Range Level 11: $125,257 - $208,762
Salary Range Level 12: $169,922 - $235,464
- Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 – 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
